What is the LEI?
The Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) is the unique identification of companies and legal entities, represented by an alphanumeric code.
Each code is globally assigned only once. This makes financial activities traceable, as every company is now uniquely identifiable, and its activities are traceable worldwide.
Here, you have the opportunity to apply for a new LEI number, renew your existing LEI, or effortlessly search for an LEI number.
An LEI code is a 20-digit code according to the ISO 17442 standard. It was developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is an important identifier that ensures transparency in financial transactions such as trading in shares, bonds or foreign exchange.
